We had the chance to ask her the MARVIN rapid fire questions, check them out below:

When was the first time you realized you wanted to be a musician?
I have always wanted to be a musician. As far back as I can remember, I have loved singing. Some of my earliest memories are of me on holiday with my family singing for my parents’ friends. I have always loved performing for people!

When I was 15, I decided to leave home to join the BIM School of Music in Brighton. It was scary to leave home at such a young age, but deep down I knew that’s what I wanted to do and it was a risk I had to take. It was all or nothing for me.

What’s the first album that made you fall in love with music?
Adele’s 19 album. That album was the first to ever give me goosebumps. I knew from that moment on that I wanted to create that same feeling for other people.

What’s your go-to karaoke song?
Justin Bieber’s “One Last Lonely Girl.”

Which artists have influenced your career?
It’s hard to pick just one, because there are so many different women I look up to for different reasons. There’s Adele, with her music and her melodies; Dua Lipa for her incredible sense of style and creativity; and Taylor Swift with her mind-blowing stage presence and boss energy.

Who do you dream of collaborating with?
As you can imagine, I get asked this a lot and to be honest, the answer changes depending on what I’m listening to at the time! I am really enjoying John Summit’s music at the moment. I also love my good friend Benson Boone, who I just toured America with. I think we could do something fun together.

Where (location-wise) do you get the most creative inspiration?
Currently, that would be LA. I live in London and I have written a majority of my past songs there, but at the moment I love travelling to LA and working with people out there. When I’m in LA, I can really get in the zone. I enjoy working with new collaborators who help me push my boundaries as a songwriter and artist.

What media are you consuming right now (reading/watching/listening to)?
I listen to a lot of podcasts. I spend a lot of time travelling by myself and just find podcasts to be good company on the road. I love to listen to Jay Shetty! He is so inspirational. I also love podcasts about history. I’m such a history nerd! I don’t think a lot of people know that about me. I also really enjoy listening to Jake Shane‘s podcast when I need a good laugh. When I’m travelling and feel homesick, I love to re-watch Harry Potter.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever gotten?
Don’t look at what anyone else is doing. Just focus on staying true to yourself and doing what’s best for you. Being authentic and loving yourself is more powerful than anything.
