MARVIN Music News: MGK, The Favors, And Noah Cyrus coming in HOT!

It’s been a week of seismic shifts and long-awaited announcements in the world of alt-pop, indie, and everything in between. Here’s what’s making noise:
MGK Drops New Single “Vampire Diaries” + Album Incoming
MGK is back with blood on his teeth. His new single “Vampire Diaries”, produced by longtime collaborator Travis Barker, leans heavy into the guitar-driven angst that’s come to define his post-rap evolution. Directed by Sam Cahill and featuring choreography from the visionary Sean Bankhead, the video brings dark romance to life, echoing the pop-punk theatricality MGK does best.

The track follows the summer hit “Cliché”, continuing to build momentum toward his highly anticipated album Lost Americana, due out August 8. MGK Day weekend is also making its return to Cleveland shortly after—expect noise, chaos, and catharsis.
The Favors (FINNEAS + Ashe) Announce Debut Tour + Album
After years of chemistry on each other’s solo work, FINNEAS and Ashe have officially formed a band: The Favors. Their debut single “The Hudson” dropped last month, and now they’re hitting the road with a run of major headline shows.

Catch them at iconic venues like Hollywood Forever in LA (September 18), Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado (September 26), and Central Park SummerStage in NYC (October 1). Their debut album, The Dream, arrives September 19 via Darkroom Records. Built on cinematic storytelling, soft psychedelia, and the kind of songwriting that made their solo projects stand out, this one’s going to hit.
Noah Cyrus Releases Career-Defining Album
Noah Cyrus has released what may be the most emotionally raw and sonically mature album of her career: I WANT MY LOVED ONES TO GO WITH ME (RECORDS/Columbia Records). The album pulls from the deep wells of Americana, indie folk, and country, co-produced with Mike Crossey and longtime creative partner PJ Harding.

This is Noah at her most intimate—tracks like “The Hudson”, “Don’t Put It All On Me” (featuring Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes), and “New Country” are steeped in grief, longing, and transcendence. A record that feels like a farewell letter and an arrival all at once.
She hits the road this fall, starting September 12.
