Chicago’s Riot fest is back with an absolute banger of a line-up promising full album plays from some of your favorite artists and a whole lot more.

Here’s our list of must-not-miss acts playing this weekend.

 

Olivia Jean

Olivia Jean brings her tantalizing surf rock to the stage on Friday expect strong riffs, high hair, and a riveting atmosphere. She’s also in issue 11 of Marvin- grab your copy here

Eshu Tune

Hannibal Buress is. a comedian, he’s also now a rapper, catch him on the Rebel stage on Saturday and be ready to be pleasantly surprised, yes it’s funny but it’s also GOOD.

Cults

If you’re looking for a cinematic soundscape to soundtrack your festival, may we recommend Cults? The duo are back with a new track Gilded Lily and are sure to be a memorial watch.

The Breeders

Last Splash is an iconic record and fans at Riot Fest will be lucky enough to hear it in full, an essential set.

For anyone who loves a classic full-album performance, this year will see the format pioneered by the now-defunct ATP brought to life in glory with no less than 8 performances listed out below.

Other acts not to be missed include Indie stalwarts Ride, the energetic Turnstile and headliners The Cure.
