YUNGBLUD RELEASES ANTHEM TO BRITISH CULTURE‘LOVESICK LULLABY’ OUT NOW, WITH OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEOLISTEN

Yungblud has returned with a punchy new Brit-pop track, “Lovesick Lullaby,” paired with a vivid, culture-rich music video directed by Charlie Sarsfield. In the visuals, Yungblud embraces classic British style, decked out in fashion staples from Burberry, Fred Perry, and Sir Tom Baker.

He’s first seen cruising through London in a classic black cab before arriving at a bustling pub. The video is full of pop culture Easter eggs, including a cheeky reference to the legendary 1982 Maxell “Break the Sound Barrier” ad, with Yungblud chilling in an armchair as he’s hit with sound waves from a massive speaker. The track itself is loud, proud, and dripping with UK pop-rock flair.

This release comes after his sprawling 9-minute track, “Hello Heaven, Hello,” showing off a different side of the artist. While that song took listeners on a deeper journey, “Lovesick Lullaby” is pure, high-energy chaos—in the best way possible.

Talking about the song, Yungblud shared, “Making this was a proper party, and you can hear that energy in it.”Yungblud said the song came together in a burst of creativity—he let his mind wander, then pieced everything together the next day while recovering with fish and chips and a cup of tea. After looking for inspiration around the world, he felt it was time to return to his roots in British music, art, and culture.

He also appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show to perform and chat about his new album and the upcoming second year of Bludfest, his personally curated festival, happening on June 21.Speaking about the festival’s purpose and affordable pricing, he said, “It had to stand for something new—for a new generation. Concerts right now are crazy expensive.” You can watch here
