Editor’s Letter Issue #15
“Welcome to Issue 15 of MARVIN, where music, fashion, and creativity come together in electrifying harmony. This issue is a celebration of fearless artistry and the vibrant voices shaping our cultural zeitgeist.
Our cover star, the magnetic Damiano David, frontman of the rock band Maneskin, epitomizes the raw energy and daring spirit that we stand behind. His incredible journey from the Italian version of “X Factor” to global acclaim serves as a beacon of authenticity and artistic strength. I’ve been listening to Maneskin for the last couple of years, and I was excited to feature Damiano on the cover for his new solo record.
But that’s not all – we’re excited to showcase an eclectic group of artists who are making their mark in the world of music. Grace Bowers brings a fresh sensibility with her bluesy guitar work, while Rich Amiri’s distinct sound offers an exciting twist on modern music. The Linda Lindas invigorate our pages with punk-rock zest and The Horrors continue to captivate with a hauntingly innovative style. Nessa Barrett flaunts her vulnerable, yet edgy aesthetic, while Molly Santana brings her boundless creativity to the issue. And Blossoms proves that its members are, indeed, big stars.
Each feature offers a lens into the worlds of these incredible artists, with inspiration and insight that reflect the pulse of our times.
Adding a touch of Tokyo’s cool energy, we shot a fashion story showcasing the exclusive Marvin Apparel/MINEDENIM capsule collection. The story features my good friend and actor-model Rila Fukushima as well as members of the band Luby Sparks.
