For the past decade, Ho99o9 have been fusing genres like scientists combine volatile chemicals. Mixing hellish hip-hop, basement-born hardcore, future-facing punk, throat-slitting metal, jarring industrial, and off-kilter electronica, the fit-to-combust concoction of band members Yeti Bones and theOGM erupts whenever someone presses play or they hit the stage.

“All those styles of music are already in our DNA and have been since day one,” Yeti Bones says, adding that when it came to making their newly released third album, Tomorrow We Escape, the New Jersey via Los Angeles pair had a different focus. “It was more about the emotion, mood, and message,” he explains, before theOGM summarises its background story: “shedding old skin, equipped for a new chapter.”
