Shirley Manson and Garbage Command LA with an Unforgettable Tour Finale at the Palladium

Garbage returned to the Palladium last night, delivering a set that reminded everyone why they remain one of alt-rock’s most magnetic forces. Shirley Manson — featured in Issue 17 of MARVIN Magazine — led with effortless control, moving between the band’s defining hits and newer cuts with the same sharp precision that’s kept Garbage timeless. “Stupid Girl” and “Only Happy When It Rains” hit with familiar power, while “Witness to Your Love” and “Blood for Poppies” showcased the band’s continued evolution. Manson’s voice, cool and cutting, carried through the room like an echo of every era they’ve shaped.

Opening the night, Starcrawler set the tone with a tight, high-voltage set that burned fast and bright. Their blend of glam-punk grit and LA swagger proved the perfect lead-in to Garbage’s cinematic control.

Together, the two acts formed a rare pairing — one rooted in rebellion, the other in mastery — both reminding the crowd that rock’s pulse in Los Angeles is still loud, alive, and unapologetically bold.
