On 12.12., High Society, MARVIN, and Audio-Technica came together in LA—not to throw a party, but to create an immersive holiday experience at the intersection of music, fashion, technology, and culture. The night unfolded like a live editorial—sound, design, and creative community moving in sync, in real time. Over 500 attendees filled the space, each adding their energy to the collective rhythm of the evening.

At the center of it all was IDK—hip-hop artist, creative force, and the cover star and co-editor of MARVIN Issue 18—setting the tone without ever needing to announce it.

Held inside the High Society’s three-level space on Beverly Blvd. The event unfolded in contrast and flow, with each floor dedicated to a different pillar–music, fashion, and culture–allowing the night to move seamlessly between sound, style, and conversation.

The event began with a VIP sake tasting hosted by SIPT Global, complemented by libations from Olga Vodka, Heaven Sake, Frank August, and IRIS Spirits, and Red Fish serving up delectable sushi and tacos. Common Wave provided the soundscape for the evening. Zakka Bakka – the experimental Los Feliz retail destination – presented a selection of specialty goods, including limited-edition Hotaru-inspired sake cups handcrafted for the occasion by renowned ceramic artist Shoshi Watanabe.

IDK took the room himself, delivering a live performance that doubled as an exclusive first listen of his unreleased vinyl, Even the Devil Smiles, giving guests a rare glimpse into his next chapter. The energy carried on through dynamic DJ sets from ACYDE, KITTY CA$H, and Yonas Michael, each layering their own sonic texture and keeping the room moving with precision and unpredictability.

The night was elevated by partners who understood the assignment. High Society anchored the atmosphere and co-hosted the moment. Audio-Technica (@audiotechnicausa) powered the room with their new Horatu turntable.

What made the night land wasn’t spectacle—it was authenticity. No forced hype, no overproduction. Just people, culture, and the shared understanding that something real was happening. IDK’s presence grounded it all, reinforcing why his voice matters right now: reflective, fearless, and entirely his own.

The Issue 18 cover launch wasn’t just a celebration—it was a signal. MARVIN continues to build space for artists pushing culture forward, capturing moments before they calcify, and keeping the pulse where it belongs. In LA, inside the High Society store on Beverly Blvd, with IDK at the helm, MARVIN made it clear: Issue 18 isn’t just released—it’s alive.
